28 ft 2018 Key West Billistic 281 Center Console
The 281 Billistic is the most popular of the Billistic line with enough fuel capacity (215 gal) to make it a serious offshore fishing machine, but still easy enough to trailer (5,600 lbs) while being family friendly. With twin 250 HP Yamaha engines, she has a top speed of 50 knots. Like all Billistics, the 281 is built with a no-compromise approach featuring the best of everything from no-wood hull construction to wiring, with special attention to access for service.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood
Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
